Empowering You to Empower Others
3-months Hands-on Workshop in PharmacometricsThis workshop covered the fundamentals of Pharmacometrics and PK/PD modeling, a practical introduction to the R environment and will enable delegates to achieve confidence and proficiency in R with specific reference to pharmacometrics modelling using RsNLME - Certara’s new biosimulation tool.

The Method of Averaging Applied to PK/PD ModelingThe computational effort required to fit the PD part of a PK/PD model can be considerable if the differential equations describing the model are solved numerically using Method of Averaging (MoA). This workshop explained the basis of the MoA by means of a simple mathematical derivation.

Role of Model-Informed Drug DevelopmentMost new compounds fail in drug development before ever reaching the market. The high cost of new drugs is driven by this high attrition rate. This workshop discussed how quantitative methods, including modeling and simulation, can help address this challenge. This workshop will provide examples of the application of MIDD with a focus on the impact on trial design and development strategy.

Role of Clinical Pharmacology-Discovery to ApprovalIn August and September 2020, we hosted a two-day workshop on “Role of Clinical Pharmacology-Discovery to Approval” by Dr. Partha Nandy, Senior Director of Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacometrics at Johnson and Johnson, which we cohosted with SSX India. At those two workshops and had over 550 registrations from around the world

Introduction to RxODE In July 2020 we hosted a two-day hands-on Tutorial presenting the application of an R package, “A Brief Introduction of Pharmacometrics Simulation with RxODE” by Dr. Wenping Wang, Senior Director Pharmacometrics at Novartis, in collaboration with ISOP. We received an overwhelming response and had about 500 scientists from around the world.
